Dedicated to the Restoration, Modification, and Preservation of Classic Cars of the 1970's

Because there were cars made after 1972!

The Automotive World's Best Kept Secret Vehicle of the Month

Welcome to SmogEra.com, the only place on the web dedicated to the restoration, modification, preservation, and customization of classic vehicles of the 1970's. Our mission is to spread the word about how much fun it can be to own, drive, and work on these unique automobiles. Whether you're building a cruiser, a low-rider, a muscle car, or just restoring your favorite ride to showroom condition, you'll find plenty of helpful friends at SmogEra.com!

If you haven't noticed, the prices of 60's and early 70's classics and muscle cars have gone through the roof! Here at SmogEra.com, we believe that everyone has a right to own, drive, and enjoy older vehicles because they seriously don't make 'em like they used to. "Smog era" vehicles, generally 1972-1979 models, have much to offer for the automotive enthusiast but have yet to receive near the credit they deserve. They're affordable, easy to find, and there's tons of different models to choose from. Most cars came with a V8, and because of shared platforms and chassis designs there are plenty of suspension and drive train upgrades available. Add this to the fact that few cars of this era are considered "sacred" and you have almost unlimited customization options! The engine, body, or interior- keep it stock or modify to your heart's content! What more could you ask for?
