Dedicated to the Restoration, Modification, and Preservation of Classic Cars from the 1970's

Because there were cars made after 1972!

Smog Era Members' Project Vehicles

Want to show off your favorite car to the world? Here's your chance! SmogEra.com needs people to contribute their stories, photos, and info on their own "smog-era" rides. You get your own web space to do with what you want (some restrictions apply), a simple and easy-to-remember address, and you get to help build the only community on the 'net dedicated to these fun and unique vehicles. We'll even build a page for you if you don't have the time to do it yourself.

To get a page of your own, send an E-Mail to Submissions@SmogEra.com with your project information and photos, as well as any questions you may have. New additions will be displayed in the "Featured Vehicle" spot on the main page.

Photo Description
Mike Evan's 1976 Oldsmobile Cutlass

This intensive restoration of a classic Olds is not only a great performer, but also holds significant sentimental value to its dedicated owner.

Greg Camara's 1973 AMC Hornet X

Greg saved this little AMC from a life of Chevy-powered quarter-mile passes and brought it back to showroom condition. Keep the "Green Hornet" jokes to a minimum...

Andy Husted's 1977 Lincoln Mark V

A beautifully refinished and warmed-up 460-powered special-edition Mark V. I bet you've never seen a luxo-yacht roll this much smoke off the tires.

John Collise's 1976 Ford Thunderbirds

Not just one, but two "big birds" that are the pride & joy of their owner. One is a bright red, pristine example of this generation of Thunderbird while the other awaits restoration.

John Collise's 1975 Buick LeSabre Convertible

When John feels like going topless, he hops into this beautiful and rare Buick convertible!

Chuck Lynch's 1972 Torino Sport

Low-optioned, factory Q Code, 4-speed fastback! Need I say more?

Erik Levandowski's 1974 Chevrolet Caprice

This B-Body behemoth is Erik's primary cruiser. Equipped with a stout small-block, this loaded Classic Custom Coupe waits patiently for its owner to return from Iraq and get started on its restoration.

Erik Levandowski's 1977 Lincoln Continental

Levman's latest purchase. This full-size, 4-door Lincoln needs some work but Erik can't wait until this land yacht is ready for a road trip.

Sylvain Patry's 1975 Ford Torino

A beautiful, well-executed, and accidental restoration of one of the most famous models of the smog era.

Eldon Dueck's 1977 Ford Granada

A sharp looking black 2-door is transformed into a sporty GT model
